2002 Jerry Rice Game Worn & Unwashed Oakland Raiders Jersey Photomatched to Two Games Including 1/12/2002 Wild Card Game vs the Jets - 9 receptions, 183 yards & 20th Career Playoff Touchdown! One of the most disciplined and prepared athletes to ever walk the Earth, Jerry Rice's unmatched dedication to his craft and sheer will resulted in him doing things that had never been done before. During his last two seasons in San Francisco, Rice posted numbers that fell short of the lofty standards he had set for himself in previous seasons, which had doomsayers whispering that he had reached the end of the line. Signed by the Oakland Raiders for the 2001 season, the greatest receiver of all-time once again did the unthinkable when he rose from the ashes like a phoenix, recording eighty-three receptions for 1,139 yards, and nine touchdowns, while leading his team to the playoffs, all at age thirty-nine!

In the Wild Card Game versus the New York Jets, "Flash 80" exploded for nine catches for 183 yards and one touchdown at the Network Associates Coliseum (aka Oakland Coliseum) on January 12, 2001. The jersey offered here was worn by Rice in that game and has been definitively photomatched. The jersey was also photomatched to the previous week's game versus the Jets on January 6, 2002, when he caught three passes for fifty-eight yards.

The home black mesh displays Jerry's legendary "80" on the front back, and sleeves, in shiny silver ribbed twill, with stretchy black nylon comprising the side panels. "Rice" appears on the verso nameplate, in a tightly lettered thin font format, all sewn-on in the same shiny silver ribbed twill. Meanwhile, there is a white nylon year/size swatch in the collar, which is stamped "01-42" in black, and embroidered Reebok logos on the sleeves. Also, Rice's trademark short sleeves, with tight sleeve cuffs in elasticized black nylon, are clearly visible and the tail has been trimmed.

Best of all is the identifiable game wear, evidenced by dirt stains, frayed identifiers and green transfer paint (to the right of the nameplate) from a Jets helmet. Furthermore, the back "0" is inscribed "Raiders & Jets, T.D. 197" in vintage black sharpie. (Note: Jerry finished the 2001 season with 196 total touchdowns. Being that regular season and post-season stats are kept separate, this inscription is technically incorrect. The inscription should have instead noted that this was his twentieth career post-season touchdown, as career touchdown 197 would not be recorded until the opening game of the 2002 regular season).
