1994 Bruce Smith Game Worn, Unwashed & Signed Buffalo Bills Jersey with Equipment Manager Provenance - Photo Matched to 12/24 vs. the Colts!UPDATE: This lot includes a letter of provenance from former Buffalo Bills equipment manager Dave Hojnowski and a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
Surely one of the best Bruce Smith gamers ever to be made available for public sale, the specimen offered here is comprised of white micro-mesh with "78" (front, back, and sleeves) and "Smith" (on verso nameplate), all screened on in blue and red. Meanwhile, blue and red ribbed trim adorns the collar and sleeve cuffs and the sides feature elasticized cream-colored nylon panels. There is also a spectacular trio of patches lined up in succession across the upper chest, including the Bills' 35th Anniversary patch, the NFL shield logo patch, and the NFL's 75th Anniversary patch. Furthermore, the jersey is signed "Bruce Smith 78" on the verso "8," large and bold, in 9/10 vintage silver sharpie.
Best of all, though, is the customizations and wear on this beauty. Tailored to player specifications, this specimen includes a hemmed tail along with taken-in sleeves and taped-up sleeve cuffs, which provided a snugger fit and left less garment for offensive line men to grab onto. The wear exhibited is also exceptional, complete with a plethora of hit marks, paint transfers, fabric snags, and team stitch repairs, all indicative of the defensive lineman's ferocious style of play.

Bruce Smith's football resume is jaw dropping: Eleven Pro Bowl selections, four AFC Defensive Player of the Year nods, two NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, election to the 80's and 90's All-Decade Teams and 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, plus residency in both the College and Pro Football Halls of Fame.
