1985-86 Don Rogers Game Worn Cleveland Browns Jersey. The MVP of the 1983 Rose Bowl while with UCLA, Don Rogers had his life cut short in 1986 when he died of a heart attack due to cocaine use. Presented here is a superbly styled brown portal mesh warm weather game that he wore during his final NFL season. Exhibiting nice wear, with a large team repair on the back, it displays sewn-on tackle twill identifiers on the front, back and sleeves. Originally purchased by our consignor from a former Browns employee, the jersey is accompanied by a plastic storage bag, which is included with the lot, and it attributes the jersey to have been last worn in the Browns' playoff meeting vs. Miami in 1986, but we were unable to definitively confirm that claim. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

I am completely satisfied, more to the point, absolutely ecstatic, about not only the proceeds but the wonderful professional manner every aspect of my little consignment was handled.
