1978 Franco Harris Game Worn Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey. One of the most celebrated and effective figures of 1970's NFL football, Franco Harris (along with fellow Hall of Fame backfielder Rocky Bleier) provided the ground game to balance Terry Bradshaw's aerial assault and lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to close four seasons as Super Bowl Champions. The third would come with a thirty-five to thirty-one victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII, the glorious completion of a sixteen-win domination of the NFC (inclusive of playoffs) during which this picture-perfect white durene gamer saw action.We can further establish the presented Canton-quality collectible to late-season activity, as the long-sleeved style present here was solely utilized for cold weather contests. The style is unmistakable, and transports us instantly to Steeltown's favorite football age. Number "32" is applied to chest, shoulders and verso in bold black tackle twill, with "Harris" standing in black and yellow 2.5" block on rear nameplate. Wear is quite strong, with four team repairs evident, most notably in an inch-long gash between the front numerals. A proper "Medalist Sand-Knit [size] 46" label appears at lower left front tail, slightly loose at right edge, just below a simple "78" year swatch.
The jersey is autographed and extensively notated by its famous former owner, the 10/10 gold sharpie stating "Super Bowl XIII Champs, Super Bowl IX MVP, Game Used 1978" along with Harris' signature.
