Description

1976 Merlin Olsen Game Worn Los Angeles Rams Jersey.
Number twenty-five on The Sporting News' 1999 rankings of the 100 Greatest Football Players, Olsen anchored the fabled "Fearsome Foursome" of the Los Angeles Rams, considered one of the premier defensive lines in the game's history. Presented here is a road white mesh jersey worn by the future "Little House on the Prairie" star during his last of fifteen seasons in the National Football League. The classic Rams stylings are in full effect here, with blue and yellow sleeves featuring ram horns that wrap around Olsen's unforgettable number "74." That number appears screened on chest and back as well, with "Olsen" properly screened across rear nameplate. Dual "Sand-Knit" labeling in tail announces "Rams Exclusivity" and "Size 54," and a local "Wm Fredericks Company, Culver City, California" label appears just below. Solid wear is most instantly evident on the chest, where two nice team repairs join a light spattering of blood. A bold black sharpie signature from Olsen between the rear numerals completes the picture. A terrific representation from this 1982 Hall of Fame inductee. LOA from Heritage Auctions. LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
