1976-78 Tony Archer Game Worn New York Giants Jersey. A notable cult hero among Giants collectors, Tony Archer was killed at the age of 24 in an auto accident during training camp in 1979. Offered here is the star defensive tackle's blue mesh jersey he wore during his brief, but memorable, career. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, it presents screened-on identifiers on the front, back and sleeves, while it displays a nice scattering of team repairs on the shoulders. The proper "Champion [size] L" tag is in the tail. Superb example from the gone but not forgotten Colorado alum. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
