1972-74 Charlie Smith Game Worn Oakland Raiders Jersey. The hero of the famous 1968 "Heidi Game," who scored the go-ahead touchdown between his Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets, Charlie Smith wore this exemplary gamer toward the end of his professional football career. A perfect example in every way, this white mesh jersey features the proper "Sand Knit" Raiders exclusivity tag and "Sand Knit [size] L" tags in the tail. Two-color tackle twill numerals are on the sleeves and verso, while black twill tall, skinny lettering is sewn on the cotton back nameplate. Jersey shows nice use, with slight puckering throughout the identifiers. He wasn't ever considered a superstar, but there are few gridiron fans of the 1970's who don't remember Charlie Smith. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
