1971-76 Larry Brown Game Worn Washington Redskins Jersey, MEARS A10. Officially labeled as one of the 70 Greatest Redskins players in history, running back Larry Brown will be remembered for his courageous running style despite his relatively small size. He developed that courage while being raised on the tough streets of Pittsburgh's Hill District, and that attribute was a key component during the 1972 season when he was named the league's Most Valuable Player. Offered here is Brown's maroon jersey that he wore between 1971 and 1976 in Washington. A terrific style, it presents white tackle twill sewn-on identifiers on the front, back and sleeves, while heavy wear is exhibited throughout. In addition, the proper Redskins exclusivity and "Sand Knit [size] 46 tagging is displayed in the tail. A superb example representing the four-time Pro Bowl player who finished his career with nearly 6,000 yards and 35 touchdowns. LOA from MEARS, A10. Letter of provenance from Ian Kindler. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
