    Description

1970 Willie Wood Game Worn & Signed Pro Bowl Jersey. An eight-time Pro Bowler, five-time NFL Champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Wood nearly faded into obscurity before his professional career had even begun. After this first African-American quarterback in the history of the Pacific Coast Conference was overlooked in the 1960 NFL draft, Wood penned a letter to legendary Packers head coach Vince Lombardi requesting a try-out, the start of a dozen years of Titletown brilliance.

Presented here is Wood's blue knit stunner that he wore during his final Pro Bowl appearance. Exhibiting excessive moisture and mold damage on the identifiers, it has the proper Rawlings size tagging in the tail. Signed in faded black ink on the back, it is one of few Wood gamers ever to hit the auction block. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
