    Description

1970's Fran Tarkenton Game Worn Minnesota Vikings Jersey - Rare Cold Weather Style! A highly athletic and exciting player who played the majority of his career in Minnesota, while making a brief stop in the Big Apple, Fran Tarkenton owned every major quarterback record at the time of his retirement. A nine-time Pro Bowler, and NFL MVP in 1975, the prolific Georgia alum was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986.

Presented here is an ultra-rare style jersey that was worn by Tarkenton in the 1970's for cold weather regular season games. The heavy knit material shirt displays screened-on numerals on the front, back and sleeves, while his name is sewn on the back in white tackle twill. Style matched to Getty Image #82134954 , it has the proper Vikings exclusivity and Sand Knit size 46 tagging in the tail. One of few Tarkenton gamers ever to hit the auction block, and easily one of the most beautiful styles. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
