    Description

1970-72 Ron Smith Game Worn Chicago Bears Jersey.
Update: we have determined that this jersey was most likely issued to Ron Smith and later worn by Allen Ellis (both No. 48), as it appears there is a nameplate change on the back.

A popular Pro Bowl kick returner with the Bears in 1972, Ron "Trousers" Smith wore this white Durene jersey during his tenure in the Windy City. Exhibiting moderate wear, with a nice team repair at the right shoulder, its original nameplate still remains on the verso. In addition, the proper Wilson size 46 tag is in the tail, while sewn-on numerals are on the front, back and sleeves. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
