1967-68 Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn "Batman Style" Jersey. The Steelers were perennial bottom feeders for years before finally becoming the kings of football in the 1970's. This jersey style qualifies as one of the more unique concepts adopted by a gridiron team. Affectionately known as the Batman style, this Steelers jersey was used for a two-year span before being scrapped altogether. As the story goes, the players felt the diamond-shaped yoke made them look like they were donning capes.

Presented here is one of those terrifically styled jerseys that was worn by a camp or non-roster player of the era. Exhibiting heavy wear with team repairs throughout, it has the proper Rawlings size 46, Pittsburgh Sport Shop and washing instructions tagging in the crotch piece. LOA from Pittsburgh Steelers. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
