1962-63 Frank Ryan Game Worn Cleveland Browns Jersey. A fifth round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 1958, Frank Ryan made a name for himself in the city of Cleveland, most notably during the 1964 season when he led the Browns to a victory in the NFL Championship Game. A three-time Pro Bowler, the notable quarterback wore this ultra-scarce Browns heavy cotton jersey during his first two years with the team. Originally obtained by our consignor in 1965 at a "Ribs'n Roast" event, which is documented in an accompanied newspaper article, it exhibits heavy wear and was most likely worn for two seasons, in addition to practice. Presenting sewn-on numerals on the front, back and sleeves, its crotch piece remains intact and it displays the proper "King O'Shea [size] 46" and "Blepp-Coombs" tags. One of the nicest Frank Ryan jerseys in the hobby, it will surely turn the heads of the most advanced of Cleveland Browns collectors. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
