1960's Jim Tunney Game Worn NFL Referee Jersey. Football jersey collectors gravitate to those oh-so-beautiful durene jerseys worn in the 1960's. Before departing to traditional mesh, football uniforms were a thing of beauty. Even the referees were outfitted in eye-grabbing durene tops. Presented is a "Wilson [size] 48" top which belonged to longtime arbiter Jim Tunney. A thirty-one year NFL veteran, Tunney worked three Super Bowls and many other historical gridiron classics. Exhibiting heavy wear throughout, it showcases a "32" in tackle twill on the back, which is signed by Tunney in black felt tip. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
