Description

1960's Forrest Gregg Game Worn & Signed Green Bay Packers Jersey.
Glory and indestructibility are the twin legacies of this 1977 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee who won five NFL Championships under Vince Lombardi while engaged in a then-league record 188 consecutive game streak. In 1999, Gregg was ranked number twenty-eight on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players, and Lombardi was even more effusive, calling the bulldozing offensive tackle, "the finest player I ever coached."

This spectacular green durene gamer serves as a compelling tribute to Gregg's famous durability, still standing strong despite a staggering array of team repairs scattered across its surface. The distinctive font of the number "75" that adorns chest, back and sleeves in white tackle twill is the format Gregg wore in both the Ice Bowl and Super Bowl I, and there's a good chance this is his jersey worn in either, or even both, as the Packers were known to recycle uniforms for multiple seasons.

Size "52" tag in collar gives way to "Sand Knit" labeling at lower left front tail, and front numeral is boldly inscribed in black sharpie, "Forrest Gregg, Worn 1960's." As a memento of the gritty determination that made Green Bay the center of the football world that decade, this is a jersey with few equals. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
