Description

1957 Jim Parker Game Worn Baltimore Colts Jersey (Preseason), MEARS A10. An all-world offensive lineman, who opened up holes to help Howard Cassady win the Heisman while at Ohio State, Jim Parker was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in 1957 as the NFL's eighth overall pick. A two-time league champion, alongside legendary quarterback Johnny Unitas with the Colts, Parker went on to be named to eight Pro Bowls, the league's 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, and he holds a permanent place in Canton.

Offered here is Parker's white Durene jersey that he wore during preseason of his rookie year, and it was most likely worn the previous season by Colts defensive tackle Tom Finnin. Exhibiting heavy wear, with about a dozen team repairs, it has the proper MacGregor size 52 tag in the tail, while sewn-on tackle twill numerals are on the front, back and sleeves. The first Parker gamer ever offered at Heritage Auctions, it is easily one of the nicest in existence. LOA from MEARS, A10. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
