1940's Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Worn Uniforms, Letterman's Sweaters and Blanket Lot of 5. A dream lot for any game-worn Notre Dame jersey collector. Originally obtained from a former multi-sports athlete of the Fighting Irish, here we include the following: Notre Dame No. 27 football jersey and pants. The wool navy blue jersey exhibits remarkable condition and has an "O'Shea" tag in the neckline, while the pants have no tagging present; Notre Dame No. 5 basketball jersey. An attractive and rarely seen style, this piece has a large amount of holes throughout (mostly on the back), while it presents sewn-on identifiers and a "King Sportswear Company" and "[size] 38" tags in the interior; Also included are two letterman's style sweaters. The navy blue exhibits solid condition and has the proper "O'Shea" tag in the neckline. The beige sweater exhibits a medium amount of tan staining throughout, and has no tagging; 60x78" Notre Dame player's blanket. Exhibiting solid condition, it has a classic style "ND" in the center and "27" patch affixed. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
