1940's Bobby Layne University of Texas Longhorns Game Worn Jacket. Lightweight wool button-up jacket provides the perfect orange hue typical of the 1940's era before the school adopted its current "burnt orange" shade. Arched white felt letters spell "Texas" across the jacket's verso, with Layne's number "22" applied to the upper portion of the sleeve. "Wilson [size] 40" label is applied at interior collar. The jacket remains in fabulous condition, ideal for display. It's a true piece of Longhorn history, worn by arguably the greatest quarterback in UT's illustrious football program. Known as one of the best field commanders in football, Layne was always recognized as a player who refused to lose. Doak Walker, a close friend and pro football teammate of Layne's, once said of Bobby, "This is a guy who never lost a game--the clock just ran out on him." LOA from Lou Lampson.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
