1937-39 Ben Sheridan Notre Dame Fighting Irish Warm-up Sweater and circa 1930's Sweater from Unknown Player. Offered here is a solid pair of warm-up sweaters worn by a pair of Notre Dame Fighting Irish players during the 1930's. Both navy blue wool shirts are free of any major flaws and present the famed "ND" school monogram on the left sleeves. The featured example has former player Ben Sheridan's "12" patch affixed on the right sleeve, while its manufacturer's tag no longer remains in the collar. Also included is an additional 1930's Notre Dame sweater, which belonged to an unknown player, as no number patch is present. The proper "King O'Shea" tag is affixed to the collar, while it exhibits no noticeable flaws. A great duo from the Elmer Layden-led late 1930's Irish. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
