Description

1925 Red Grange and the Chicago Bears vs. New York Giants Ticket Stub - The Game that Saved the NFL! One of the most historically significant ticket stubs in football history, this gridiron artifact represents the December 6, 1925, meeting between the New York Giants and Chicago Bears at the Polo Grounds. The result of the game played second fiddle to the desperation that filled the stands, as the gate from the first sell-out football game (68,000 fans) in New York history was used to save the Big Apple franchise. Ticket has "Red Grange" written in an unknown hand, while paper loss is exhibited on the back from where the stub was torn. Few stubs from this milestone game exist.
