1919 Indian Packing Original Stock Certificate - Green Bay Packers Named After Company!
Back in 1919, the date of this historic original stock certificate, a young man named Curly Lambeau worked in Green Bay at the Indian Packing Company. Lambeau wanted to start a professional football team, and needed money. He asked his employer, the Indian Packing Company, for funding and the rest is history. The new football team in Green Bay was named "The Packers." This great 8x11" piece is an original stock from the Indian Packing Company. Exhibiting moderate wear throughout, this piece would display perfectly with an early Packers team photo.
