1976 Walter Payton Signed Sports Illustrated Magazine. Walter Payton was one of the greatest running backs in NFL history, known for his strength, endurance, and grace on the field. Spending his entire career with the Chicago Bears, he amassed over 16,000 rushing yards and became the league's all-time leading rusher at the time of his retirement. Nicknamed "Sweetness," Payton combined relentless effort with humility and leadership, helping the Bears win Super Bowl XX.
