1967 Green Bay Packers Team Signed Ice Bowl (NFL Championship Game) Program. Everything the Green Bay Packers franchise stands for can be summed up by three words: "The Ice Bowl." Also referred to as "The 1967 NFL Championship," this game was played in negative 48 degree wind chill temperatures, and has baffled onlookers as to how the players survived, not to mention how any team could concentrate enough to win the game. This historic contest took superior heart and determination, while coming down to a last-second quarterback sneak by the Packers' Bart Starr, which helped give Green Bay the win over the Dallas Cowboys, and propelled the team into their second straight Super Bowl appearance. In what would prove to be coach Vince Lombardi's final NFL Championship Game appearance, this game is commonly referred to as "One of the Greatest Games in NFL History."Offered here is an original EX-MT game program from the Ice Bowl that is signed by approximately 30 members of the 1967 Green Bay Packers. Signed in bold black ball-point ink, averaging 9/10 quality, this piece is complete with its center page intact, and it features the following keys: Vince Lombardi, Ray Nitschke, Fuzzy Thurston, Jerry Kramer, Willie Davis, Bart Starr, Herb Adderly, Henry Jordan, Donny Anderson, Travis Williams, Dave Robinson, Boyd Dowler, Don Chandler, Tom Brown, Chuck Mercein, Elijah Pitts, Doug Hart, Ken Bowman, Forrest Gregg, Bob Brown and others.
One of the most complete and significant pieces ever offered representing the Ice Bowl, this piece is accompanied with a handwritten letter from Mildred Van Grunsnen, who is the wife of the man who originally obtained the program from former Packers equipment manager Bob Noel the night of the historic contest.
