Description

1941 Bruce Smith Signed Heisman Trophy Presentational Banquet Program. Without question, serious Heisman Trophy signature collectors will agree that aside from the elusive Nile Kinnick, Bruce Smith is by far the toughest signature to obtain from the category of prestigious collegiate football award winners. A true hero on and off the field, Smith served during World War II as a United States fighter pilot, and also spent time with select groups of military All-Star squads while in the service. He was a key part on the Minnesota Gophers back-to-back National Championship squad of 1940 and 1941, and briefly played in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams.

Offered here is an original Heisman Trophy presentational banquet program that is signed by Smith on the interior photograph page. Measuring at 6x9", the 12-page program is signed by the '41 Heisman winner in NM fountain pen ink, while moderate toning and wear is exhibited throughout. In addition, the pages are separated from its staples. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
