1939-1964 College Football Programs Trio (3) with '39 UCLA Jackie Robinson. From the John Esch Collection. Offered is a lot of three vintage game programs from collegiate football games. The 1939 UCLA Bruins went 6-0-4 and featured a young tailback named Jackie Robinson, who would go on to a legendary baseball career. His teammate, Kenny Washington, was the first African-American to sign a contract with the NFL. A copy of "The Goal Post" for the November 4, 1939 game against Cal, in very good condition, is offered here. Also presented in the lot is a souvenir program from the December 2, 1950 Tulane vs LSU game, which looks great, despite some minor wear. Rounding out this grouping is a "Official Longhorn Program" for the October 31, 1964 Texas vs SMU game, which presents itself in very nicely with very minor wear. All three feature vivid and colorful covers and remain fun pieces of college football history.
