Description
Circa 1940 Bruce Smith Signed Photograph. Without question, serious Heisman Trophy signature collectors will agree that aside from the elusive Nile Kinnick, Bruce Smith is by far the toughest signature to obtain from the category of prestigious collegiate football award winners. A true hero on and off the field, Smith served during World War II as a United States fighter pilot, and also spent time with select groups of military All-Star squads while in the service.He was a key part on the Minnesota Gophers back-to-back National Championship squad of 1940 and 1941, and briefly played in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams.
Presented here is an original photograph signed by the '41 Heisman winner, and the autograph presents a nicely as one will find. Measuring at 5x7", we would conservative grade this at 9/10. "Photographic Laboratory, U. OF MINN." stamped on back. We challenge anyone to find a better example than this crystal clear beauty, representing the College Football Hall of Famer.
