    Description

Circa 1939 Nile Kinnick Signed Real Photograph Postcard, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Seven days short of his twenty-fifth birthday, Nile Kinnick's F4F Wildcat developed an oil leak over Venezuela's Gulf of Paria, forcing an emergency landing at sea. His body was never recovered. The first Heisman Trophy winner to die is by far the toughest autograph for collectors of this elite collegiate brotherhood, with examples surfacing at auction about once every two years. This is one of the only signed images of Kinnick in existence, and it was scribed by the gridiron legend in 9/10 blue ink. Measuring at 3.5x5.5", it has the proper "DOPS" RPPC stamp on back, which confirms it was produced sometime between 1925-42. Card exhibits three creases near the top, but the signature displays superbly and problem-free. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8.
