1984 San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl XIX Championship Ring. One of the greatest dynasties in NFL history is commemorated here in gleaming gold and glittering diamonds, a gift from team owner Edward DeBartolo, Sr. to his friend Joseph Brooks, CEO of Lord and Taylor and Ann Taylor. Nearly a home game for the NFL Champs, Super Bowl XIX was contested on January 20, 1985 at Stanford (CA) Stadium, with Ronald Reagan flipping the coin by satellite from the White House as he celebrated his second inauguration the same day.

This particular contest remains one of the most famous in Super Bowl history as the sole meeting in combat of legendary quarterbacks Joe Montana and Dan Marino, each of whom passed for over 300 yards, a first for the Big Game. The 49ers victory would prove to be the second of four claimed by the team during the decade.

Identical to those earned in combat by Montana, Rice and Lott, the ring features approximately 1.8 carats of genuine diamonds on the face, creating two figural Lombardi Trophies to mark the second trip to the mountain top. Raised text at perimeter reads, "San Francisco Forty Niners World Champions." Left shank features a figural helmet framed by text reporting, "Brooks, 1984, 18-1." Left shank lists the two Super Bowl victories with an image of the Golden Gate Bridge and a final score tally. Interior band is stamped "10K Jostens" and measures to a size nine and a half (9.5). Total weight is forty-four grams (44 g.).

The ring remains housed in its original hinged wooden display case which once again attributes the prize to DeBartolo's friend. Ring and box both present in virtually pristine condition.
