    Description

1936 NFL Championship Game Packers vs. Redskins Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 1. After Redskins' owner George Preston Marshall previously announced plans to move his team to Washington D.C., the Packers traveled to the Polo Grounds in New York City to take on the Boston Redskins in the 1936 NFL title game. The historic contest was the Packers' first NFL Championship game played by the team under head coach Curly Lambeau, after winning league championships awarded by league standings in 1929, 1930 and 1931. A first quarter 48-yard touchdown pass from Arnie Herber to Don Hutson set the tone for an impressive 21-6 win by the "Green and Gold" on that momentous day.

Presented here is an original Associated Press News photograph from the historic '36 title game. Measuring at 7x9", the EX artifact is notated in blue ink in an unknown hand on the front, while it is properly stamped on the verso. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
