1929 Green Bay Packers World Champions Original Photograph Presented to Mike Michalske and Personal Ephemera. Arguably, the most significant squad in Packers history, the undefeated 1929 team from the small town of Green Bay represented the first league championship in franchise history. Presented here is an absolutely historic original Stiller team photograph that was given to Pro Football Hall of Fame legend Mike Michalske for his contributions on the '29 Packers. Originally sourced from the Michalske family, the crystal clear NM 5.5x9" image is encased in its original stand, while its original caption sheets are affixed to the back - "With hearty congratulations on your most successful season! The Stiller Company Green Bay Wisconsin December 10, 1929." At the first NFL Championship Dinner held in Green Bay on December 10, 1929, each player was given $100, a watch and a Stiller's team photo in a special frame. Also featured in the lot is an array of Michalske personal ephemera, including: a telegram congratulating Michalske on his Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame induction, letter regarding tickets for the WAHOF dinner, an original ticket from the event and two original photographs from the event. The telegram congratulating Michalske for induction in the Wisconsin Hall of Fame was sent by George Halas and the ticket was for Mike to sit at the Speaker's Table.
