Description

1925 New York Giants Vs. Chicago Bears at the Polo Grounds Panoramic Photograph - Historically Significant Image Featuring Red Grange's 4th NFL Contest. DESCRIPTION CORRECTION: The outcome of the game was been corrected. Also, this was Grange's fourth NFL game, and not his second.

One of the most historically significant and gorgeous images in football history, this panoramic treasure depicts the December 6, 1925, meeting between the New York Giants and Chicago Bears at the Polo Grounds. The result of the game played second fiddle to the desperation that filled the stands, as the gate from the first sell-out football game (68,000 fans) in New York history was used to save the Big Apple franchise.

Measuring at an impressive 7"x6', the two-section original image of the field and stands was purchased at an estate sale near Wrigley Field in the home of a former worker from the Chicago Park District. Red Grange and his Bears were victorious over the Giants 19-7 on that memorable day, fans should note that it was Grange's fourth ever NFL appearance. Exhibiting numerous tears, paper loss and excess wear throughout, it is professionally matted on two pieces of sturdy illustration board.
