1924 Rose Bowl Program. Behind an impressive arsenal of short, precise throws, the Naval Academy completed an amazing 11-of-11 passes in the first half of the 1924 Rose Bowl, while facing the 10-1 Washington Huskies. Despite the Midshipmen's near perfect aerial attack that day, the Enoch Bagshaw-led Huskies stuck with their game plan and answered every touchdown with a scores of their own in the game that eventually ended in a 14-14. Offered here is a highly unique and extremely scarce football-shaped game program from the 1924 Rose Bowl, which was played in front of 40,000 fans in Pasadena. With the exception of a small black ink spot on the cover of the 16-pages unscored publication, this amazing treasure exhibits Mint quality, with no tears or excess writing. Bagshaw and Navy's head coach Bob Folwell are shown on the cover of this piece, which presents superb additional player images throughout. Possibly the nicest 1924 Rose Bowl program in existence, this piece remains fully intact, with a tight binding.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
