Description

Mid 1930's Bruce Smith Handwritten and Signed Schoolwork. Despite being recognized for his talents on the football field, University of Minnesota alum Bruce Smith showed that he was quite the diligent student, as can be determined from this handwritten chemistry paper.

Presented on a piece of 8.25x11" onion paper, Smith used bold pencil while scribing two sides of notes. In addition, Smith signed the top-right area of this folded piece. Vintage football memorabilia collectors recognize Smith's signature as probably the second toughest of all Heisman Trophy winners, and a handwritten, signed document from the halfback who also spent time on the Green Bay Packers is almost unheard of. Originally obtained from Smith's son, this is one of only a handful of handwritten pieces ever offered from the gridiron legend who passed away in 1967. Letter of provenance from Bruce Smith's son. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
