Description

Jack Christiansen Original Artwork for "Goal Line Art." Just six-foot one and 162 pounds at his NFL debut, Christiansen quickly silenced the doubters, participating in five Pro Bowls during his eight-season professional career. One of the most effective defensive backs in football history.

The Gary Thomas Archive of "Goal Line Art" Original Artwork
Arguably the most respected and widely known artist with a concentration in the sport of football, Gary Thomas has been commissioned annually by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio to produce illustrations of enshrinees since the museum opened in 1963. The Bowling Hall of Fame & Museum in St. Louis and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame have likewise relied upon Thomas' keen eye to provide artwork for their walls. But Thomas is best known for his highly collectible "Goal Line Art" cards, a favorite among autograph collectors for their faithful yet soulful studies of the greatest figures in NFL history. Thus far, Thomas has produced sixteen sets of these limited edition collectors' art cards, and we present a magnificent sampling of the original artwork used to create those cards here. Each acrylic on board work measures 9x12", and is accompanied by an example of the Goal Line Art card that was spawned by the design.
