Description

Franco Harris Signed Ticket Stub from the "Immaculate Reception" Game. An amazing memento with profound historical significance, the ticket stub that we present here comes from the December 23, 1972 AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders. Keen fans will immediately recognize this as the date of one of the sport's most famous moments. NFL Films even named that day's "Immaculate Reception" as the league's greatest play of all time. When Terry Bradshaw threw a Hail Mary pass to Frenchy Fuqua, the Raiders aggressive DB Jack Tatum delivered a hit as the bal arrived that sent the ball flying end over end several yards backward, only to be scooped up just before it hit the ground by Franco Harris, who ran it in for a touchdown. What is perhaps more remarkable is that some lucky enthusiast got Harris to sign an actual ticket stub from the game, which Harris relayed to him was the only time he had applied his signatures to one. The discerning collector will do well to get his hands on this important piece of the NFL's past. Interest in this lot is sure to soar. LOA from PSA/DNA.
