Circa 1981 John Matuszak Game Worn & Signed Oakland Raiders Turf Shoes. A true 1970's football icon who epitomized the Oakland Raiders/Al Davis ethos, John Matszak was a 6-8 300-pound defensive end who was the first pick of the 1973 NFL Draft, earned two Super Bowl championships with "the silver & black," and endeared himself to legions of fans through his alter ego of The Tooz. He also made ten movies and appeared in almost twenty TV shows.

Converse white leather high-top turf shoes (size thirteen) feature star and chevron in gray and "72" in vintage black marker on the heels. Each shoe was signed on the ankle in silver sharpie and then signed over in black sharpie for better visibility. Vintage autographs are bold and grade 9/10 in strength. These exemplars exhibit great game wear with dirt still caked into the outersoles. Football shoes from this era are tall order. Fantastic display appeal. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
