Circa 1960 Paul Hornung Handwritten Letter with "Thank the Good Lord for Lombardi" Reference. Paul Hornung had all the talent in the world but still needed that one person to save his career. During his first two NFL seasons, Hornung split time between quarterback and fullback. Essentially, he was a man without a position. Vince Lombardi moved the Golden Boy to halfback, and Hornung became the go-to option when his team was near the end zone. The Packer great is downright giddy when describing his coach within these two handwritten pages (5.75x9") which are in ballpoint ink. This line shows us that Hornung's career was indeed taking a turn for the better: "But I can honestly say I have never been as happy with football. All I can say is "Thank the Good Lord for Lombardi"!! He asked about you numerous times, of course he thinks you are a wonderful person."

Hornung closes the letter by including a stellar blue ballpoint signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
