    Description

Circa 1957 New City Stadium (Lambeau Field) Flagpole. The Green Bay Packers were winning but their stadium was just too small to generate enough revenue in the 1940's. That changed in 1957 when New City Stadium became the crown jewel of the NFL. In 1965, the stadium was renamed Lambeau Field when team founder Curly Lambeau passed away. This 37" flagpole flew in the Green Bay skies over the football cathedral in the 1950's. The stem is painted yellow while the top appears to be copper. A gold placard reads "Lambeau Field Flag Pole from 1957 1 of 135." Fasteners which would attach to the flag are included.
