    Description

Circa 1920s African-American Collegiate Thanksgiving Day Advertising Piece. Considering that this was a Thanksgiving Day game, this poster can be dated to either the year 1921 or the year 1927. The clash was between two predominantly African-American schools -- Wilberforce University (recognized as the country's first) and the W. Va. Collegiate Institution. Measuring in at 13x20", this excellent historical piece exudes charm with its vintage artwork. Bottom right corner exhibits a significant amount of water damage, but the piece displays very strongly overall.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
