Description

The three-time Super Bowl champion leads the Pats in rushing in Super Bowl XLIX!

2014 New England Patriots Super Bowl XLIX Championship Ring Presented to Running Back LeGarrette Blount.

UPDATE: Please note that while this ring was created for, and presented to, LeGarrette Blount by Josten's, it was produced as a family ring and not a player version. Family rings are slightly smaller than the player version and the ring does not include the player number on the left shank. Family rings are only offered to players, but not all players order them, so they are more rare than player rings.

Gargantuan ring requires every bit of its outrageous size to contain the four Lombardi Trophies adorning its face, the tally having been achieved through a defeat of the Seattle Seahawks that will always be considered one of the most shocking in NFL history. Trailing by four points with fewer than thirty seconds to play, Seattle found themselves just a yard from the end zone and a virtually assured championship, but rather than turning to Marshawn Lynch's "Beast Mode" to assault paydirt, quarterback Russell Wilson instead threw the most devastating interception in football history, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The New England sidelines exploded into jubilant hysterics, a decade-long Super Bowl Championship drought ended in the most improbable fashion.

This ring was issued to one of Tom Brady's most effective weapons, a running back who had an MVP-quality performance in the AFC Championship game with three touchdowns and 148 yards before again leading New England's rushing stats in the Super Bowl. Blount would win two more rings with the team (LI and LII), finishing his career with eleven postseason touchdowns, tying him for seventh in NFL history with Marcus Allen. He'd finish his career with 6,306 regular season yards and fifty-six rushing touchdowns (and sixty in total).

The ring face features a colorful team logo and thundering text reading, "World Champions." Left shank features the recipient's surname and diamond-studded jersey number, along with a recounting of the Patriots' four championship seasons. The ring holds approximately 4.85 carats of diamonds in total. Right shank provides the team logo, "Do Your Job" along with the game's score, the season's playoff-inclusive record, and the logo of Super Bowl XLIX. Interior band measures to a size fifteen (15) and reads, "We Are All Patriots" with team owner Robert Kraft's facsimile signature and the date of the game. "Jostens 10K" stamping appears nearby. Weight is a hefty eighty-two grams (82 g.). Fine condition, presented in Jostens wood and glass display box with original cardboard packaging included.
