Big Blue ends the Patriots' perfect season!

2007 New York Giants Super Bowl XLII Championship Ring Presented to Offensive Tackle Guy Whimper. Exquisitely crafted symbol of gridiron excellence was awarded to Whimper following Big Blue's stunning upset victory over the heavily-favored New England Patriots, who most experts had believed would claim victory to become the first undefeated NFL Champion since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Late game heroics by the Giants, including a stunning pass and catch by Eli Manning and David Tyree respectively, extended a twelve-play, eighty-three yard drive to give the Giants the final score in completion of a seventeen to fourteen victory. Many believe this victory to be the high-water mark of the Giants nine decade history, and one of the greatest Super Bowls ever played.

Presented is just the second player ring we've ever encountered from this unforgettable edition of America's greatest sporting event, earned by offensive tackle Guy Whimper at the conclusion of his second of four seasons in the Meadowlands. Our earlier offering, from running back David Ward, commanding over $50,000 in our February 2014 Platinum Night event.

The gorgeous monochromatic design is unlike any Championship ring we've ever seen, crafted entirely from white gold and genuine diamonds. Three Lombardi Trophies, representing each Super Bowl victory for the franchise, adorn the face along with the team's "NY" logo and the words "World Champions" in raised text. Left shank provides the logo of Super Bowl XLII, the date and the score, "NYG 17, NE 14." Right shank announces original owner's name and jersey number along with the logo of the NFL and a mention of the difficult path to glory: "Eleven Straight Wins on the Road."

The ring survives in nearly pristine condition in its original Tiffany box and measures to a massive size fourteen (14). Interior band is stamped "Tiffany & Co. .585," the digits indicating fourteen karat gold. Total diamond weight is 1.82 carats. Total ring weight is seventy grams (70 g.). Original Tiffany & Co. appraisal paperwork. Original purchase invoice.
