2004 New England Patriots Super Bowl XXXIX Championship Ring
Presented to Safety Dexter Reid. Now that the curtain has
fallen on that glorious Brady/Belichick run of six Super Bowl
Championships, the market for the rings related to those seasons of
glory will surely see a significant surge in appeal and value. This
ring was issued to safety Dexter Reid who appeared in thirteen of
sixteen regular season contests and all three post-season games,
including the Super Bowl.This massive assembly of white gold and diamonds derives from the franchise's third trip to the mountain top in a four-season span, thus the official establishment of the team as a "dynasty." The Pats forced four turnovers by the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the seven-point spread but could not break its forty-four-year NFL championship drought in the twenty-four to twenty-one result.
An enameled team logo emerges from a veritable sea of dazzling real diamonds on the ring face. Three figural Lombardi Trophies represent the running tally, and "World Champions" text sandwiches the figural football design. Left shank identifies the recipient by name and jersey number with text reading, "3 out of 4" and "21 straight." Right shank supplies the logo and final result of Super Bowl XXXIX with text reading "Back to Back World Champions" and "9-0 Playoffs." Interior band announces "Jostens 14K" and measures to a size of ten and three quarters (10.75) and weighs a hefty one hundred grams (100 g.).
The ring remains in exceptional condition--please see online enlargeable images for inspection--and is presented in its spectacular original hinged wooden display case (1.3 kg).
