    1998 University of Tennessee Volunteers National Championship Ring Presented to Running Back Travis Henry. The University of Tennessee had a crater-sized hole to fill when Peyton Manning's college eligibility was up. The Vols had finished 11-2 in 1997, and entered 1998 as the tenth ranked team in the nation. Despite losing Manning to the professional ranks, the squad had plenty of weapons for new starter Tee Martin. Future NFL standouts Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry were featured in the backfield while Peerless Price, Cedrick Wilson and Jermaine Copeland lined up on the outside. Despite struggling a bit in the SEC Championship Game, a 14-10 win over Mississippi State, the team was able to hold off Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl and claim its sixth national title in school history.

    This monstrosity (size 15.5 to 16) was issued to Henry who served as an apprentice to Lewis. "National Champions 1998" surrounds the outside of the front while a team logo and CZ's fill in the face. Left shank indicates: "Henry," "20" and an image of a stadium. The other side shows a team helmet, National Championship trophy and "13-0." "10K" is engraved inside. Weight is a robust sixty grams (60g.). A most impressive ring from a player who enjoyed a seven year NFL career which included a Pro Bowl appearance.
