1998 Alamo Bowl Purdue University Championship Ring. In one of the years most dramatic Bowl games, Purdue drove eighty yards in the final fifty-four seconds of the game to upset fourth-ranked Kansas State by a score of thirty-seven to thirty-four, led by future Chargers quarterback Drew Brees. This is the ring presented to strong safety Ralph Turner as a member of this never-say-die squad. Crafted by Josten's in ten karat yellow gold, the ring sports a football-shaped black stone on the face, inset and ringed with faux diamonds. Surrounding text reads "1998 Alamo Bowl Champions." Left shank has image of Purdue helmet with "Turner 18" in raised text. Opposing shank notes the school's back to back victories in the event. Turner's name is engraved inside the band. Approximately size eight.
