1994 Steve Christie Game Worn Signed Buffalo Bills Kicking Shoe Used to Kick Longest Field Goal in Super Bowl History - With Player Provenance. Everything is magnified in the Super Bowl as it is American sport's signature day. The Buffalo Bills haven't had much success in the big game with their kickers. Mention the words "Super Bowl" and "Bills kicker" and Buffalonians will conjure up thoughts of Scott Norwood and his errant effort which sailed wide right in Super Bowl XXV. But have no fear Bills' fans, this offering has a little NFL history attached to it.

Kicker Steve Christie used this very "Nike [size] 10" shoe to boot a 54-yard field goal in Super Bowl XXVIII against the Cowboys. While his effort was in vain, Dallas won 30-13, this does represent a Canton-worthy artifact.

It is known that kickers are some of the most superstitious people on the planet. Their game worn wares rarely surface which makes this offering noteworthy. "10" (size) is screened on the inside and a Nike manufacturer's tag reveals it was made in early 1993. Christie signed the right Nike swoosh in black sharpie and inscribed "SBXXVIII" for his personal authentication. An LOA signed by Don Beebe will further vouch for authentication. LOA from Don Beebe.
