Description

1990-91 Jim Kelly Game Worn & Signed Buffalo Bills Handwarmer with Equipment Manager Provenance. When running the Run and Shoot Offense, pinpoint accuracy was a must. Those cold late season games in Buffalo proved to be a challenge staying warm. Jim Kelly had this heavy duty handwarmer around his midsection which helped him keep the offense rolling. A Bills emblem is centered on this contraption. Kelly signed the front in thick black marker and dated "1992" as well. "12" is written just below the Bills emblem for identification purposes. Three strips of athletic tape are secured on back. The snap is functional.

This style handwarmer, with a black markered identifier, was predominantly worn by Kelly in 1990-91. We were unable to achieve a definitive photo match as we only have photos from six of the fifteen cold weather games over those two seasons.

The handwarmer was obtained directly from Dave Hojnowski who was the Buffalo Bills equipment manager from 1978-2012. LOA from former Buffalo Bills equipment manager Dave Hojnowski. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
