1985-86 Bill Murray Aviator Hat Worn During Chicago Bears NFL Championship Game.

Bill Murray is a dyed-in-the-wool fan of Chicago sports. Having grown up near the city, Murray can be seen as a face in the crowd at many sports contests if they involve Windy City teams.

This "Banana Republic size XL" aviator hat was worn by the funnyman when the Bears were winning the 1986 NFC Championship game against the Los Angeles Rams. Da Bears demolished the Rams 24-0 as the entire city rejoiced. We consulted footage via YouTube and, sure enough, Murray is wearing this exact style of cap on the sidelines. Authentication is secured with a letter from the widow of attorney Steve Zucker. Zucker was Jim McMahon's attorney. The inside includes a Banana Republic tag and suspended size label. One of the finest "game-worn" pieces of Murray memorabilia to reach the auction block. Letter of provenance from Shelly Zucker.
