1978 Bear Bryant Alabama Crimson Tide National Championship Salesman's Sample Ring. Under the tutelage of legendary head coach Bear Bryant, the No. 2 ranked Alabama took on No. 1 Penn State in the 1979 Sugar Bowl, and behind an impressive performance by linebacker Billy Krauss, the Nittany Lions were defeated 14-7 and Alabama finished the season as National Champions. Offered here is a highly desirable Bear Bryant 1978 National Championship salesman's sample ring, representing the Tide's memorable season. A simple but luxurious design, which resembles the organization's class and precession on the field, it features a sparkling faux diamond at center, while "BALFOUR STERLING" is stamped in the band's interior. Measuring to a "[size] 10" and exhibiting Mint quality throughout, this thrilling relic originates from a highly significant time in the program's history.
