Description

1976 Super Bowl XI Player's Lombardi Trophy Presented to Fred Biletnikoff. He left Tallahassee owning the Florida State Seminoles records for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, entering the National Football League in the third round of the 1965 draft. Twenty-three years later, he'd join the bronze brotherhood at Canton as one of the greatest ever to play the professional game.

Heritage Auctions is proud to present Fred Biletnikoff's Lombardi Trophy that he received for winning Super Bowl XI. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the man himself, it is the most significant personal Lombardi Trophy that we've handled.

The design will be instantly familiar to even the most casual NFL fan, crafted to eighteen inches (18") in height with a curved triangular base supporting a miniature football at the top. The logo of the NFL stands in a raised seal on the face amidst the engraved words "Vince Lombardi Trophy, Super Bowl XI, AFC vs. NFC." The designation is completed on an engraved plaque affixed to the glossy black base which reads, "The Oakland Raiders, World Champions, Fred Biletnikoff, Oakland 32, Minnesota 14, January 9, 1977."

A moderate degree of crazing affects the figural football and lower portion of the trophy, but it still displays nicely. Letter of provenance from Fred Biletnikoff.
