Description
1974 Mean Joe Greene Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl IX Championship Salesman's Sample Ring. The 1974 Super Bowl featured Hall of Fame Quarterback Terry Bradshaw and the "Steel Curtain" Defense of the Pittsburgh Steelers going up against the scrambling Hall of Fame Quarterback Fran Tarkenton and the "Purple People Eaters" Defense of the Minnesota Vikings in the last pro game ever played at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. The Steelers ended up winning the first of their many Super Bowls, 16-6, in a hard fought game in which another Hall of Famer, Steelers Running Back Franco Harris, was named the game's Most Valuable Player.Offered here is a 10 karat gold Josten's sample ring, designed exactly like the one presented to Steel City legend Mean Joe Greene in 1974. Measuring to a size 11, it showcases a large CZ at the center, while a "Jostens 10K" maker's mark and salesman's rep number is engraved in the band. Ring weighs 40 grams.
